Real-Time Data

Search for current information while chatting.

Real-Time Data brings search results into a conversation. It uses a search provider separate from your chat model.

Configure a provider

  1. Open Settings → RTD Providers.
  2. Select a provider, such as Jina, Google Custom Search, Brave Search, Tavily, Exa, SearXNG, or Ollama.
  3. Enter the credentials or endpoint required by that provider and save the configuration.
  4. Open a conversation's Real-Time Data control and select the configured provider.
  5. Ask a question that needs current information.

Provider availability depends on your platform and plan. Some providers require their own paid account.

Choose when to search

Push supplies search context with the request. Pull, where available, lets the model request searches when it needs them and requires tool-calling support.

Review the returned sources rather than treating a search result as a guarantee that an answer is correct. If no results appear, check the selected provider, credentials, and connection.
