Remote Tools

Make desktop tools and local models available to a remote Msty connection.

The desktop Remote Tools connector accepts authenticated connections for tools and local models. This feature requires access to Remote Tools on your plan.

Start the connector

  1. On desktop, open Settings → Remote Tools.
  2. Enter a connection token.
  3. Enable tunneling only if the connection needs to reach the desktop outside its local network.
  4. Optionally remember the token for future connector sessions, then choose Enable.
  5. Copy the local connection URL, or the tunnel URL when enabled, into the remote connection setup.

The copied URL includes the connection token. Treat it like a credential and keep it out of screenshots, shared chats, and public documents.

Stop accepting connections

Return to Remote Tools and choose Disable. Keep the desktop app and connector running for as long as the remote client needs its services.

The web app has separate version and availability requirements. Use the 2.x documentation when connecting from the current 2.x web interface.
