Workspaces and projects
Separate your work and organize related conversations.
A workspace keeps a separate set of local work. Projects organize conversations inside a workspace.
Create a workspace
- Open the workspace selector in the sidebar.
- Choose New Workspace.
- Enter a name and choose a color.
- On desktop, optionally choose the folder where Msty should store the workspace.
- Choose Create and Switch, or use Create and Stay to keep working in the current workspace.
Switch between workspaces from the same selector. Its actions include editing, exporting, importing, and workspace protection.
Organize conversations with projects
Create a project from the conversation sidebar, then move related conversations into it. A project can provide shared model and add-on choices such as attachments, Knowledge Stacks, toolsets, and Live Contexts.
For example, keep one project for a research topic and attach its reference material there instead of selecting it for every conversation.
Protect and back up
Workspace protection can lock a workspace with a passphrase. Keep that passphrase somewhere safe and export a backup before changing storage or protection settings.
Use the workspace menu to export one workspace. For a broader backup, see Back up and restore data.
Workspaces are local; creating one does not synchronize it to another device.
