Chat with personas and crews
Use a configured assistant or bring several personas into one conversation.
Start a persona conversation
- Open the sidebar's new-conversation menu and choose New Persona Conversation.
- Select a persona.
- Check the model and send your message.
A persona can provide instructions, a model, and resources configured in Personas. If it has no model assigned, select one for the chat.
Start a crew conversation
- Create a crew with the personas you want to use in Personas.
- Choose New Crew Conversation from the sidebar's new-conversation menu.
- Select the crew and review which personas should respond.
- Choose the response and context settings, then send a message.
Select a fallback model if any crew members do not have their own model.
Control who responds
- Auto: enabled personas respond automatically to a message.
- Manual: choose the responding personas and click Trigger when ready.
Use Manual when you want to collect your thoughts or direct a question to selected crew members before asking the others.
Control shared context
- Independent: each persona sees your messages without the other personas' answers.
- Contextual: personas can see one another's responses.
Independent is useful for separate opinions. Contextual lets the crew build on the discussion. Multiple responding personas create multiple model requests, so model usage can increase.
For a separate observer that produces analysis alongside a normal conversation, use Shadow Personas.
