Skills

Create and install reusable task instructions for agents.

Skills describe how to perform a task. Use them with a compatible agent in Agent Mode.

Create a skill

  1. Open Skills and choose New Skill.
  2. Enter a unique Skill ID, such as review-release-notes. Use lowercase letters, numbers, and single hyphens.
  3. Write a description explaining what the skill does and when to use it.
  4. Add the instructions in the SKILL.md editor. Use View to preview them.
  5. Optionally add tags, then Save.

An existing skill's ID is fixed. Edit its description and instructions to update its behavior.

Install existing skills

Browse Discover or use Add GitHub Repo to add a skills repository. Inspect a skill before installing it. Refresh Skills updates the available repository information.

The add menu also offers From Template and Import Default Templates where your license supports them.

Use skills with an agent

Choose skills in the agent session's skill controls. A skill supplies instructions; it does not grant the agent extra tools or bypass approval settings. Agent support and how skills are applied depend on the selected agent.

Organize installed skills in folders and enable the ones you want available.
